Frequently Asked Questions

-everything you need to know about booking a session!-
 aQ. Is there anything I need to know before I make an order?

A. Firstly, make sure you've made yourself familiar with DarkLake Tarot's Terms of Service + Ethics before making a purchase! It covers both my client expectations as well as outlines my personal code of ethics.

Q. What if I don't know what to ask you?

A. That's definitely something that we can work through together! I don't start any readings without a complete understanding of your request, so expect a brief chat with me to make sure we're on the same page- even if we just settle on a general question!

Q. How do you deliver your readings?

A. This mostly depends on how you would like our session together to take place.  Curently the two options available are Remote Via Video/Audio [usually a video service like Zoom or Whatsapp], or In-Person.

If our session was done as a Video or Audio call, I'll provide you with an audio recording of our time together for your review with the first 48hrs of our session.

For any in-person sessions such as 'The DarkLake Special' readings, we can meet at a public place of your choosing.  You're encouraged to record our time together on your own device, or you can take your own notes- I have no problem giving you the time to record everything as thoroughly as you'd like!

For anything that requires a physical good being sent to you- such as 'The Serenitist Oraculum'- I ship all of my packages out on Wednesdays, and will provide you with a tracking number. If you need it sooner, please let me know!

Q. Do you have an exchange or refund policy?

A. A tarot reading isn't a physical product that can be returned to a store- I put time and energy into every single reading, no matter how small- along with the time taken to document your reading properly, type everything out, and send it out in a timely fashion. Therefore I don't offer refunds or exchanges on any service provided here on DarkLake Tarot. Please contact me, however, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase in any way!

Q. What about rescheduling or cancellations?

A. I get it- sometimes the best-laid plans go awry!  If something comes up and you have to reschedule our session together, that's fine!  Please let me know via email or via the scheduling calendar if that is the case.  If I suddenly become unavailable for the new rescheduled time, I will contact you ASAP to either pick a new date and time, or cancel your session with a full refund.

As for cancellations, I have a strict 12-hr appointment cancellation policy.  As I do have a regular job as well as external commitments to honour, I wish to avoid circumstances where time is needlessly wasted.  Therefore if for whatever reason you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, PLEASE ensure you formally cancel you session with me via email or the scheduling calendar, no later than 12hrs before our scheduled time together.  Appointments cancelled within 12hrs of starting will incur a penalty, will not be rescheduled, and your payment will not be refunded.

Q.  I still have an unanswered question!  How can I best reach you??

A. Generally speaking, emailing me is best!  I'll do my best to respond as soon as I am able to.  I don't always get notifications about Direct Messages via Instagram or Facebook, so if it's a matter of urgency/importance, PLEASE email me.
