Habari Gani, everyone- and a Happy New Year to you all! When this post goes live I will most likely still be in my bed, as my beloved and recover from the nerdy masquerade ball we'll be attending New Year's Eve. So I wanted to make sure this was ready for you- our last day of Kwanzaa, and our last Principle: Imani [or 'Faith']. Imani asks us “To believe with all our heart in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.” But I firmly believe that we can't get to that point without first establishing faith in ourselves- our capabilities, our resilience, our accomplishments. If we have faith in ourselves and our ability to withstand whatever 2018 has in store, we can better apply it to those of us in our community. So this spread is simple: draw one card. Use it as your first taste of the New Year. Believe in the good that can be found, and know that you are stronger than anything negative the card may entail. I have faith in you, so have faith in yourself too! And finally, #DarkLakeTarotDoesKwanzaa comes to a close! Thank you everyone for sticking through it with me, and I hope these spreads become useful to you in some capacity! And don't worry, this won't be the inly time I'll be doing something like this~
Have a safe, joyous and happy New Year! I'll see you all soon~
